ACME Taekwondo was proud to travel to Johor for 3 days and 2 nights on 18 November 2023 for the Elite Taekwondo Invitational Championships 2023. The honor of this invitation saw a formidable team of 14 participants ranging in age from 9 to 21 years old competing in the Poomsae and Kyorugi categories. The team was lead by Veron Phua.
This overseas competition was marked a first for many, and amid spirited bouts, Acme clinched medals, with notable achievements in Poomsae overall and securing the 2nd Runner-Up position in the 9-11 years and 12-14 years categories. However, the real victory lay in the profound development of our participants, strengthening their mental resilience, igniting their fighting spirit and fostering lasting bonds within the team.
At Acme, we live by the mantra “work hard and play harder”. After the competition, we celebrated our success together, and on the last day of the trip, we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch, followed by an intimate session with the adorable dogs at the Corgi Talk Cafe.
No trip is complete without a shopping spree at the Johor Premier Outlet, which ended with a delicious seafood dinner against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.
In essence, this 3D2N trip not only raised the profile of Acme Taekwondo, but more importantly, created lasting bonds between our participants. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for their trust and unwavering support in making this memorable trip possible.
