We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements of our members at the 9th MBC International Open Taekwondo Championships, held from 8-12 August 2024 in Taean, South Korea. Despite a tight schedule and last-minute arrangements, our team rose to the occasion and delivered outstanding performances.
Our Poomsae competitors—Jolin Koh, Gabriella Ong, and Rachel Tan—showcased their exceptional skills, securing 4 Gold Medals in a highly competitive field.
In the Kyorugi category, our warriors Tiu Shin, Camille, and Liming faced tough opponents but fought with determination and grit, bringing home 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal.
Adding to the challenge, the team was presented with an unexpected opportunity to train with a Korean middle school team just two days before the competition. This intense and unfamiliar training environment tested their adaptability, but they embraced the experience and used it to sharpen their skills.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our team officials, Fong Yee Min and Ng Xinni, who expertly navigated the team through this whirlwind trip, ensuring that everything came together seamlessly.
